    Lemongrass Tea

    Lemongrass Tea, served hot or cold makes a wonderful lemony refreshing drink. Lemongrass tea is very simple to make and is both delicious and good for health. If you’re having one of those days, a glass of 100% natural Lemongrass Tea will have an instant calming effect without the need for caffeine. In our recipe, we use Honey to sweeten but you can use ordinary sugar or sugar substitute if you prefer.

    Ingredients for Lemongrass Tea

    2 Stalks Lemon Grass, preferably with leaves. Chopped into small pieces
    5 Cups Cold Water
    Honey or Sugar to sweeten (to taste)


    Method

    1. Put the water and chopped Lemon Grass into a large pot. Bring to the boil over a medium heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.

    2. Remove pot from the heat and strain the liquid into a jug.

    3. Add Honey or Sugar to taste.

    For a cold Lemongrass Tea proceed as above, allow to cool and serve with ice cubes.
