    Korean Seafood Pizza

    By admin | January 12, 2010

Korean Pizza is unlike any other Pizza, indeed in appearance it is more like an omlette or crepe. We have used squid and prawns in our Korean Seafood Pizza but you can vary the ingredients. Cooking time might vary slightly depending on which ingredients you use but the Pizza should be crisp on the bottom with the topping just set.

    Ingredients for Korean Seafood Pizza

    Soup:

25 gm dried Tuna flakes (Bonito flakes)
1 small piece Kombu dried edible Kelp
    1 L Water

Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan and add the fish flakes and Kombu. Continue boiling for 3 to 4 minutes. Strain the liquid and reserve 120 ml.

    Sauce:

    1 Tsp Sesame Oil
    1 1/2 Tbsp Soy sauce
    2 Tbsp Vinegar
1 Tbsp Spring Onions (Scallion) chopped
    1 Tsp Garlic, finely chopped
    Freshly ground black Pepper

Put all the ingredients into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

    Pizza:

    100 gm Corn Starch
    120 ml Soup
    3 Eggs
    30 gm Squid, finely chopped
    30 gm Prawns, finely chopped
    1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
    1 Tbsp Garlic, finely chopped
    30 gm Carrot, julienned
    30 gm Shallots, finely sliced
    1 small/medium Chili, sliced
    1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
    4 Spring Onions (Scallions)
    Freshly ground black Pepper

Pour the soup into a mixing bowl and add the Corn Starch and Eggs. Mix well. Add all the other ingredients except the Spring Onions and the vegetable oil. Mix well.

Put the vegetable oil into a frying pan over a medium heat. When the oil is hot, pour the Pizza mixture into the pan. When the mixture becomes firm, place the Spring Onions on top, cover the pan and cook until no liquid remains on the top.

    Serve together with the sauce.
